FALL style...fall-refashions!

I currently am working up re-fashioning my wardrobe and adding some essential pieces to my closet. I found my inspiration on pinterest...on which I spend way too much time on and I get major anxiety every time I spend hours. Here are 4 ensembles that have been my ideal FALL outfits. So I'm gonna try and be a little bit more stylish ;)

I went thrift shopping yesterday and bought an XL large men's cashmere sweater that is in this outfit. I'm gonna try altering and take a swing at sewing. I'll let you know how it turns out.

Next thing I bought while thrift shopping was a denim shirt. I'm going to also try sewing it done.

Leather seems to be a theme. I LOVE IT. I especially love this jacket...which can be purchased at Violet Hill Boutique. In store only. Sorry online shoppers. I have a limited amount left. I might just have to buy one for myself. DID I MENTION I LOVE THESE BOOTS?
Love this one. I love the beige blouse paired with a colorful scarf. Don't forget the leather bag and the boots.
What do you think of the outfits?

Possible Home Ideas

Ok follow this link to the most amazing pictures of home decor I have ever seen. There were way too many pictures to post! But here were some of my favs!

Rope Basket

I'm making this too for Josh. We just moved into a lovely basement apartment out in the countryside in Wellsville, UT. We live with Garth and Maydene and I must say they are the sweetest old couple. Garth is this old Forest Ranger and he loves his horses and his countryside. When we ate dinner at there house one evening Garth had one of these and Josh thought it was cool. Josh is gonna be so surprised!

ADORABLE Fabric USA Map

I just copied and pasted this from So you think your Crafty. So this is in another crafters words.

Craft #3 – US Map Wall Hanging

This project even rhymes, a scrap map! I used 50 different little scraps to make this map of America wall hanging. It’s bright and colorful and each state is packed with personality.

It was really fun to choose a specific fabric print or solid for each different state. And I have a new found appreciation for each state’s curves and lines. This project is a great geography refresher! Each state has been delicately topstitched.

I always have a large supply of muslin scraps, so I found one just big enough for the map. Once the map was done I wrapped it around a scrap of plywood I had from another project and hung it up with a piece of lace that was hiding in the scrap pile. The lace reminds me of colonial outfits, so I thought it was the perfect fit. This would be a fun project for a kids room or a classroom.

Store front idea

I had this wild thought today on my drive down to SLC. I saw this old train car at smith and Edwards in the parking lot. How awesome would it be to have a store front in an old vintage train car!
